Dum Dum Girls - London 13th May

On Thursday 13th I saw the girl group Dum Dum Girls play at the intimate London venue the Luminaire. They looked and sounded awesome.

The other day i was discovering the work of Klaus Voormann, the man responsible for the sleeve design of the Beatles' Revolver LP.

demand the impossible

This Demand the Impossible top which was crudely and quickly made by me as a homage to the t-shirt Malcolm Mclaren once wore, was a throwback to the social movements in Paris 1968 in which artists made posters that provoked awareness & action. It was a collaboration between students and workers that reflected the frustrations of the time due to poverty, unemployment and the opposition of the Vietnam War among other things. Thaïs is a 1917 silent film directed by Anton Giulio Bragaglia. The painter Enrico Prampolini was responsible for the design which was influential to later German expressionist cinema.
